About

Willie Peña

Twenty years of persuading people, turned into software that does it at scale.

Willie Peña has been building on the web since he wrote his first site by hand in the early 2000s. He has turned more than twenty years in small-business operations, marketing and sales into persuasive messaging and, lately, into the tools that produce it.

As CEO of Peña Media Group he has served enterprises including Verizon, Adobe and Colgate, alongside small and midsized businesses looking to improve what their marketing actually returns.

Peña Media also owns and operates a growing set of digital assets: content sites, a radio station, social channels, and the software underneath them. Running them is what keeps the advice current, because every recommendation has already been tried somewhere with real money and a real audience attached.

Why the names

The myth is the filing system, not the pitch.

Naming a video editor after the goddess who was cut in two to make the world is a joke until you watch it divide one timeline into nine deliverables, and then it is simply the most accurate word available. The same is true of the rest: Janus watches the way in and the way out, Cascade loses nothing on the way down, and Midas is a warning kept deliberately as a name. The emblem is the Sumerian sign AN — the mark a scribe pressed before a name to show that the name belonged to a god. It is the oldest branding decision on record, and it is the one this company keeps making.
